In a surprise announcement, Filipe "Astini" Astini, the head coach of Parivision, revealed he will not be attending BLAST Slam III. Taking his place is none other than legendary Dota 2 player Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka, a two-time The International (TI) champion best known for his time with OG.
Astini took to social media to share the news, humorously referencing Team Liquid’s own string of second-place finishes and their coach’s absence during their recent LAN victory. “Lesson learned from Liquid,” he wrote. “If you keep finishing second and actually want to win a LAN… just make sure your coach doesn’t show up.”
Parivision recently made headlines with their impressive run at PGL Wallachia Season 4, where they finished second after a hard-fought 3–2 loss to Team Liquid in the grand finals. Despite falling just short, the team proved they can contend with the very best.
With JerAx stepping in for BLAST Slam III, fans are eager to see if the Finnish icon can bring his trademark strategic depth and LAN-winning magic to the roster. It’s a bold move—but one that just might push Parivision over the edge into championship territory.
Let the magic happen.
